Magel ‘s Cave

Magellan Cave or Magellan Cave is a karst cave in Armenia, in the UPI Vayots Dzor gorge, on the 2 km road leading to the Noravank Gorge[1]. In addition to the name Magel, he is known as Magil. It is named after the hunter Magelan Arakelyan, who found a cave after hunting in 1980[2]. One of the largest caves in Armenia. A depth of up to 1.7 km is being investigated. There are many areas in it that have not yet been explored.

Features

There are clusters of stalactites and stalagmites at several points of the cave.

The cave of Magel was inhabited during the Neolithic period, which is confirmed by the bear bones, stone tools and other objects found in it.

Due to the depth in the cave, the temperature is always 14 °C.

The entrance to the cave is so narrow that barely one person can enter.

Magel cave is home to eight species of bats, six of which are listed in the Red Book of Armenia. In 2005, 600 individuals of Arax moths (Latin Myotis araxenus) were found in the cave.[3] The stories of the hunter Magil are presented in the complete collection by Norik Arakelyan[4], published in 2014.

Parandzem

When the lady of the Armenian world, Parandzem, the wife of the Armenian king Arshak, saw that the troops of the Persian king filled the Armenian world, she took with her about 11 thousand selected armed fighting men from the free and, evading the Persian troops, headed to the fortress of Artagers in the province of Arsharunisyan.: The whole country was destroyed, destroyed, provinces and countries came out, captured people and cattle, brought their army, brought biomaterials and ate from other places, keeping the fortress under siege. :

And my grandfather, Arshak’s son, was not in the Armenian world at that time. He was with the king of Greece…

And they often sent envoys to the Armenian world to the wife of the country Parandzem, so that she could guard the fortress, not surrender into Persian hands. so, the siege of the fortress lasted thirteen months. This encouragement was delayed for a long time because they said, “Dad, Dad, your son came and brought the imperial regiment to the rescue.” “A little more, a little more patience, help has come”:

After the fourteenth month, the refugees who had taken refuge in the fortress were struck by a blow from God. from the day the death began, less than a month had passed, about eleven thousand men and about six thousand women were all killed. and Mrs. Parandzem, seeing that she was left alone, opened the door of the fortress and left the Persian army inside the fortress. according to the characteristic expression of Vardan Hatsuni: “Sparapet was defeated, but not in the worst case, and after exhausting all his strength. such a loyal commander, inseparable from the barricades, will be the last to fall into the army.” the queen was captured. Shapukh II, in the fortress of Artagers, was driven into captivity together with his wife.. In the Armenian world, policemen and guards were left to conquer the remaining people of the country, and they, taking Mrs. Parandzem, took her with treasures and numerous prisoners to the Persian world. They came and brought the Persian world to King Shapukh:

Pavstos Buzand. “History of Armenia” (ch. TSE

Due to the epidemic that began on the 15th month of emigration protection, the Persians were able to take possession of the fortress. “such a loyal commander, who is inseparable from the barrier, will be the last to fall into the army.”…

Pavstos Buzand presents the abuse of the tsarina as revenge on Shapukh, whom she “wanted to reproach the family (Arshakunyats), the Armenian world and the Kingdom.”.. …

Such a stormy and stormy life was experienced by a beautiful maiden of the Syunik world ” “very famous for her beauty and decency”, a widow who lost her beloved husband, who against her will became the queen of Great Armenia and gave birth and brought up one of the most talented kings of our history. He became the leader of the Armenian world left without a king and heroically defended the country from the enemy. not by chance, that Queen Parandzem, together with her husband Arshak II and her son King Papa, became the hero of many works of art.

And it is noteworthy that during the Artsakh War, a detachment was formed from the Armenians, bearing the name of the glorious queen “Parandzem”. The detachment bearing the name of the hero–queen distinguished itself in the liberation battles and became a participant in our modern heroic history…

The Story of the Three Little Pigs

Once upon a time when pigs spoke rhyme
And monkeys chewed tobacco,
And hens took snuff to make them tough,
And ducks went quack, quack, quack, O!

THERE was an old sow with three little pigs, and as she had not enough to keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune. The first that went off met a man with a bundle of straw, and said to him:

“Please, man, give me that straw to build me a house.”

Which the man did, and the little pig built a house with it. Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said:

“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”

To which the pig answered:

“No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”

The wolf then answered to that:

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.”

So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig.

The second little pig met a man with a bundle of furze and said:

“Please, man, give me that furze to build a house.”

Which the man did, and the pig built his house. Then along came the wolf, and said:

“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”

“No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”

“Then I’ll puff, and I’ll huff, and I’ll blow your house in.”

So he huffed, and he puffed, and he puffed, and he huffed, and at last he blew the house down, and he ate up the little pig.

The third little pig met a man with a load of bricks, and said:

“Please, man, give me those bricks to build a house with.”

So the man gave him the bricks, and he built his house with them. So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said:

“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”

“No, no, by the hair on my chiny chin chin.”

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.”

Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and huffed; but he could not get the house down. When he found that he could not, with all his huffing and puffing, blow the house down, he said:

“Little pig, I know where there is a nice field of turnips.”

“Where?” said the little pig.

“Oh, in Mr. Smith’s Home-field, and if you will be ready to-morrow morning I will call for you, and we will go together, and get some for dinner.”

“Very well,” said the little pig, “I will be ready. What time do you mean to go?”

“Oh, at six o’clock.”

Well, the little pig got up at five, and got the turnips before the wolf came (which he did about six), who said:

“Little pig, are you ready?”

The little pig said: “Ready! I have been and come back again, and got a nice potful for dinner.”

The wolf felt very angry at this, but thought that he would be up to the little pig somehow or other, so he said:

“Little pig, I know where there is a nice apple-tree.”

“Where?” said the pig.

“Down at Merry-garden,” replied the wolf, “and if you will not deceive me I will come for you at five o’clock to-morrow and get some apples.”

Well, the little pig bustled up the next morning at four o’clock, and went off for the apples, hoping to get back before the wolf came; but he had further to go, and had to climb the tree, so that just as he was coming down from it, he saw the wolf coming which, as you may suppose, frightened him very much. When the wolf came up he said:

“Little pig, what! are you here before me? Are they nice apples?”

“Yes, very,” said the little pig. “I will throw you down one.”

And he threw it so far, that, while the wolf was gone to pick it up, the little pig jumped down and ran home. The next day the wolf came again, and said to the little pig:

“Little pig, there is a fair at Shanklin this afternoon, will you go?”

“Oh yes,” said the pig, “I will go; what time shall you be ready?”

“At three,” said the wolf. So the little pig went off before the time as usual, and got to the fair, and bought a butter-churn, which he was going home with, when he saw the wolf coming. Then he could not tell what to do. So he got into the churn to hide, and by so doing turned it round, and it rolled down the hill with the pig in it, which frightened the wolf so much, that he ran home without going to the fair. He went to the little pig’s house, and told him how frightened he had been by a great round thing which came down the hill past him. Then the little pig said:

“Hah, I frightened you, then. I had been to the fair and bought a butter-churn, and when I saw you, I got into it, and rolled down the hill.”

Then the wolf was very angry indeed, and declared he would eat up the little pig, and that he would get down the chimney after him. When the little pig saw what he was about, he hung on the pot full of water, and made up a blazing fire, and, just as the wolf was coming down, took off the cover, and in fell the wolf; so the little pig put on the cover again in an instant, boiled him up, and ate him for supper, and lived happy ever afterwards.

Queen Parandzem

The image of Queen Parandzem is a controversial character: regardless of dissident assessments, Queen Parandzem was devoted to her country, her people and the state.:

Parandzem was consecrated by the Armenian queen when he married, perhaps, the most heroic, but at the same time the most unfortunate and tragic king of Armenia -Arshak II (350-368).:

The Parandzem was from Syunik. He was the daughter of Prince Andovka, who in the IV century was one of the most powerful Armenian princes.:

Once wounded by the attitude of the Persian king Shapukh, the brave Armenian prince with his regiment captured the capital of Persia Tizbon and destroyed it. that in Armenia he was the leader of the Roman princes together with Catholicos Nerses partev, historians write that Arshak’s Gneli was confessed by his uncle Tirith, out of envy and love of Parandzem… seeing the grieving Parandzem at Parandzem’s funeral, Arshak fell in love and soon accepted him as his wife. it is difficult to say whether Parandzem was Arshak’s first wife: In any case, by marrying Arshak II, he became the first in Kananak and the Armenian queen.:

Shortly after these events, Rome, the treacherous and treacherous Roman emperor, having failed to achieve his goals by purchasing, sent Arshak to his niece Olympia to print.:

Moreover, he wanted to take the place of the Queen of the Parandzem and constantly worked with her and in general against the Armenian statehood:
It is difficult to say whether Parandzem was involved in the murder of Olympia or not… In any case, the Armenian world was freed from the insidious stranger who, instead of enjoying Armenian hospitality, professed it.:
So many religions were taken because of Parandzem, so many alliances were broken…

Without waiting for the allied Persians to approach, Arshak II attacks the Romans with the help of an Armenian widow and inflicts a terrible massacre on them.: According to historian Pavst, Prince Andovk, fearing Parandzem’s shaky position at the Armenian court, bribes Armenian ministers and several Persian officials who deceive Arshak that Shapukh attacked him and wants to kill him.:

In 368, Tsar Shapukh II tricked Arshak II and sparapet of the Armenian troops Vasak Mamikonian into coming to him. he beheads Sparapet, and throws the Armenian king into the fortress of Ankhush. a shattered and divided country remains alone in the face of the strongest enemy. Shapukh also deceives the queen of the Parandzem, but she, not believing the promises of the treacherous Persian, is preparing for a fight. he did not take any steps for the Armenian unity, moreover, like the ministers, she pursued a decentralized policy:

During the siege of the fortress, a traitor warrior from the Armenian princes, Father Mardpet, who knew the underground passages of the fortress by duty, secretly penetrates into me, however, seeing the heroic resistance of the Armenians there, appears before the Armenian principality and, leading its troops, defeats the Persians.: Under the castle, the Armenian army with unexpected night attacks repeatedly inflicts a terrible massacre on the Persians:

Only when famine, epidemics come to the aid of the Persian king, and the ranks of the defenders of the fortress are gaining, the Persian king manages to capture Artagers and capture the Armenian queen:

He tied up the Armenian queen in his square and ordered the scum of his army to kill her with dishonorable dishonor…
According to historians, the Armenian principality did not lose even the pride and courage of its spirit in a difficult moment… unfortunately, the Parandzem was not appreciated by contemporaries. even his modern clerical historians presented the Parandzem in gloomy and black tones. Pavstos Buzand notes that he even gave his son, Grandfather, demons from childhood. judging by the pope’s activities, it is likely that he was not a Christian. clerical historians, speaking of demons, meant pagans. aryan, as a person devoted to his nation and statehood:

He died in the name of the Motherland and the honor of the Armenian.Hatsuni described him as: handsome, decent and brave…

To this day, Armenian mothers drink this spring water so that their fruits are healthy and patriotic.:
